Love everything about travel and hope this can be a nice replacement after couchsurfing effectively annihilated the community overnight :/

What is the country or city that made you fall in love with traveling?

Germany and those awesome Bavarians!

Make friends with the locals, you never know what kind of adventures it may lead to

What's the most surprising mode of transportation you've used?

Several trips to/from Europe flying on USAF C-5's and C-17's (man, I miss those free Space-A/MAC flights...)

When do you start packing for a trip? A month, week, day, or hour in advance!

Start days or weeks ahead of time with the best of intentions...always to finish in a crazed rush at the last minute, typically by sacrificing sleep the night before an early departure (pfft, just makes it easier to sleep on the plane!))
