About me
I caught the travel bug at a young age from my parents who traveled as often as jobs and four kids would allow. I spent a lot of time day dreaming about visiting the exciting places I saw on tv or read about in books; that was my idea of the perfect life! Fast forward to my college days when I worked two part-time jobs simultaneously while studying engineering to able to backpack around Europe. My travel buddy backed out at the last minute, but I went anyway and had the time of my life as a solo traveler. Oh, the people you can meet when your on your own! After many years in the corporate world, scraping and saving our pennies, my husband and I sold all of our things and traveled the world for 2 1/2 years. When we decided to return to the States (because I was tired and "needed roots"!), we landed in Walnut Creek, a suburb east of San Francisco. We stayed there for nearly 7 years.
Now we're retired and are nomads, traveling around the US. Once it's safe to do so, we'll expand our travels again -- I can't wait!
