Nikki is a travel editor, author, and writer originally from Colombia and now living in New York City. Currently, she is an editor at Fodor's Travel and the Founding Editor of Unearth Women, a women’s travel publication she founded back in 2018. Her work with Unearth Women has been featured in The New York Times, Good Morning America, CNN, Vogue Spain, and The Washington Post.As an author, Nikki is represented by the Paradigm Talent Agency and is the author of Wanderess, a travel book dedicated to helping people travel smarter while showing them how to support and connect with women globally. Wanderess was published by Clarkson Potter and Penguin Random House in February 2022.
Previously, Nikki worked as a Travel Editor for The Infatuation, Atlas Obscura, and Culture Trip. In addition to her editorial experience, Nikki is a freelance journalist with bylines in Cosmopolitan, Zagat, VICE, Food & Wine, Roads & Kingdoms, and more. As a public speaker, Nikki has spoken at various travel conferences including the Women’s Travel Fest, Women in Travel Summit, Latino Travel Fest, the Travel + Adventure Show, and the former New York Times Travel Show.
