DescriptionCan’t travel right now? No worries. Did you know that you can still practice traveling when you aren't actually traveling?
You see, travel is a skill. And like most skills, the more you practice, the better you get. Learn some key travel skills you can try at home so when you’re able to board another plane, you’ll do so better prepared.
Steve Brock, author of the forthcoming book, Hidden Travel: How to Discover More, will explore ten travel skills you can work on at home right away including how to:
* Learn a language faster
* Pay better attention to what matters to you
* Connect your passions from home to your future travels
* Plan a surprise trip for someone
* Pack lighter
* Discover minimalist adventures in your own backyard
* Create magic moments for others (as well as yourself)
* Read alternative sources
* Change how you plan a trip
* Change how you research upcoming trips
This will be an interactive session where you get to practice and share some of these skills on the zoom call.
STEVE BROCK helps both new and experienced travelers to think differently about travel and not do the same old trips in the same old ways. In particular, he encourages travelers to learn new ways to connect their interior life (passions, purpose and creative interests) with their travel. In his forthcoming book, Hidden Travel (due out Fall 2020), he explores how to find the hidden places and personal experiences that matter to you, not just those deemed popular by others. He has traveled to over 50 countries and (when actually able to fly) is on a plane every week or two in his work running a branding agency in the Seattle area where he lives with his wife and favorite traveling companion (and yes, they are the same person).
