Storytelling is powerful…especially when it comes to travel.
But it's even more powerful when it's done right.
Perhaps your travel stories and experiences are what fuel your business, they're the epicenter of your blog, or you just can't stop sharing about your travels, well because, they're amazing ...but you don't seem to be getting the response or impact you had hoped for.
There's a whole host of tips and tricks that go into powerful storytelling. From the tone of voice to messaging, understanding your reader, and more—these are all the ingredients to an impactful story that not only connects with your reader but inspires them. But the icing on the cake that makes your stories just that much more powerful is how they're told.
Rachel truly believes in the power of travel and storytelling. It all started when she booked a one-way ticket to Vietnam (which is where she met her fiancé). Not only did she experience the culture, people, and challenges of travel but also her passion for content marketing and storytelling.
It's what enabled her to become a Vietnam Expert for Google Trips, a freelance writer for expat magazines, and a PR expert working with journalists from all over the world. It's what brought her to Portland, Oregon (where she lives now) to continue her work at a PR and marketing agency helping social impact brands—from Kettle Brand, to Bob's Red Mill, and Travel Oregon—share their stories through influencer marketing campaigns, viral product launches, and media outreach. It also brought her to Nike. One of the greatest storytellers in the world working as one of two digital copywriters in all of North America.
Now, Rachel continues to help impact-driven brands and entrepreneurs—especially ones in the travel sphere—define their brand identity, develop effective content marketing strategies, and write copy that moves mountains. Her clients are able to build a brand viewers know and trust, grow their audience on social media and beyond, and truly stand out. Rachel is also one of the amazing Chapter Leaders of Portland's TNN Chapter!
