COVID who?!

Some people have not stopped traveling because of COVID, they have just highly adjusted how they travel to fit the new pandemic restrictions.

Our speaker, Kash, is a hosteling KING. He is the ultimate budget traveler (the genius behind the appropriately named: https://budgettraveller.org). He's been travel blogging for over a decade and is the author of the 'The Grand Hostels: Luxury Hostels of the World' - the book on the best luxury places to stay on a budget. As you cal tell, this guy travel... a lot!

Since March 2020, Kash has spent most of his time traveling locally in Germany and the Czech Republic. He will be sharing his experiences and insights he's gained of what it is like to travel in Europe at the moment.

Here are some of the posts he's written about his experiences traveling during COVID:
-- Travelling in the Age of Coronavirus - Leipzig: https://budgettraveller.org/travelling-in-the-age-of-coronavirus-leipzig
-- Coronavirus Diaries: Back to Hamburg: https://budgettraveller.org/why-i-love-hamburg
-- An Alternative Guide to Prague: https://budgettraveller.org/24-best-things-to-do-in-prague

While he's avoided flying to more exotic, far-flung European destinations (like Greece or Portugal), he hasn't skimped on exploring. This non-airplane-travel decision is sort of because of COVID, but also because of what the travel world is turning to due to the global pandemic... a new phase of local, slower travel experiences.

Kash believes, in the years to come, the world will be moving slower to shorter distances. He will talk about the value and experience of finding adventure on your doorstep.

Nomadic Matt will be leading this Q&A with Kash. Kash will share pictures and videos from his recent travels.

KASH BHATTACHARYA, better known as the "BudgetTraveller" is the 2016 National Geographic Traveller Blogger of the Year. Author of the brand new 'The Grand Hostels: Luxury Hostels of the World.' published by design publisher Gestalten, Kash has revolutionized travel for the stylish, design-led budget-conscious traveler.

Kash also has several years of experience putting together creative content ideas for clients, some of which have won major tourism marketing awards. Examples of projects include MustLoveFestivals.com with Expedia, #BlogVille for Emilia Romagna & #Blogmanay for Visit Scotland in partnership with iAmbassador and Film Traveller Cote d'Azur for Cote d'Azur Tourism.

Most recently, Kash has started Adopt a Hostel (https://adoptahostel.com), which is on a mission to save hostels across the world from the devastating financial effects of the COVID-19 crisis!
