Description2019 seems like a lifetime ago, but it was only last year that tourism news was plagued with headlines on overtourism and its negative impacts on our world.
At yet, in 2020, the travel industry has been crippled – and it’s quickly become apparent that undertourism is equally as problematic as its counterpart.
But finding the right balance between too much tourism and too little is easier said than done.
Join us for a candid session with Kelley Louise, the Founder and Executive Director of Impact Travel Alliance (impacttravelalliance.org), the world’s largest community for socially and eco-conscious travelers, to discuss how we can strike the right balance.
Attendees will leave with:
— A deeper understanding of overtourism and undertourism, with case studies that go beyond what mainstream media portrays
— Five, actionable tips on how you can strike the right balance between over- and undertourism – without sacrificing the parts you love the most about travel
The session will explore how we can shift our travel habits so that our experiences empower locals and protect our environment – all while enjoying deeper, more meaningful experiences.
