Description

? Did you know there are 62 designated National Parks in the United States?

SIXTY TWO!

During this presentation, we’ll start with a brief overview of how a National Park gets that coveted, distinguished status before we dive deeper into exploring the 62 Parks in the United States from California to Maine to the middle of the South Pacific Ocean and everywhere in between.

Before you know it, you might just be on a quest to visit all 62 Parks like our presenter... who has visited 49 so far!

Even during COVID, there is no better time than the present to set goals and plan a trip into the great outdoors.

Whether they are the most widely known parks or those in the most remote parts of Alaska, Krista will share tips, tricks, and even some travel hacks for planning your visits to the parks. After all, it’s always an adventure!

? KRISTA MUSCARELLA considers herself an adventure and travel enthusiast who is on a mission to visit all 62 designated National Parks in the United States while also collecting as many passport stamps as she can. She loves hiking whether it’s in a National Park, Machu Picchu, or even climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Krista is passionate about the outdoors and nature and volunteers her time to share these passions with others, serving as an outings leader with the Angeles Chapter of the Sierra Club and an instructor with the Wilderness Travel Course in the Los Angeles area. She is also an avid reader and her “It’s Always an Adventure” themed virtual book club was born as a result of quarantine. Krista is a full-time School Psychologist who loves collaborating with parents and teachers to advocate for all students. Having summer and holiday breaks also bodes well for her traveling!
