Description
You love to travel. ✈️
You love to run. ?♀️
Why not combine your passions and run a race overseas?
Running a race overseas can be a great way to experience a new city or country, meet like-minded travelers, and connect with the locals. It can also be the foundation for new travel goals, like running a marathon on every continent.
Join Katie for a look back at five of her most memorable races, from China to India to Ethiopia. Learn everything you need to know about running a race internationally, whether it's a 10K or a marathon.
? KATIE AUNE is a Minnesota native who currently resides outside of Washington, D.C. She's a higher ed fundraising professional who took a 13-month career break in 2011-12 to visit all 15 former Soviet countries - a trip she kicked off by running a marathon in Tallinn, Estonia. She chronicled that trip at katieaune.com and is currently writing a book about the experience. Since running her first marathon in Chicago in 2008, Katie has run 14 marathons on five continents, including the Great Wall Marathon in China and two races in wildlife reserves in Africa.
