"Diversity is not about how we differ. Diversity is about embracing one another uniqueness."
– Ola Joseph
Traveling provides us with life-changing opportunities, introduces us to new cultures and gives us new perspectives on the world. However, our encounters as travelers are unique to our own perspectives and identities – and in an unequal world, we each face different experiences.
Join Impact Travel Orlando for a candid discussion around discrimination in travel, as well as to advocate (and celebrate) more diverse representation. Our speakers will share their unique, personal stories, and we’ll come together to examine universal themes, and steps we can take as anti-racist travelers.
— Hear first-hand stories from Black, Brown, and Asian travelers, highlighting both positive and negative experiences
— Deepen your understanding of how to be an ally to fellow travelers and speak up against injustices you may see
— Understand the importance of supporting travel companies owned and run by people of color
Speakers confirmed include
— Joy Iromuanya
— Ashley Lacambra
— Carmen Marand
— ...with more to be announced
Our goal is for attendees to leave inspired by the power of human connection, and with the knowledge to take action to build a more diverse and inclusive world through our travel experiences.
