Description

Japan has become a popular place to travel - and to teach English!

With 7 years of teaching experience under her belt, Mia will share her experiences of living and working as an ESL teacher in the Land of the Rising sun.

Join us to learn:

  • What is required to become an ESL/EFL teacher in Japan
  • How to find a teaching job and the application process
  • What a day in the life is like for an English teacher in Japan in a private English school

And those of you only interested in traveling in Japan, you can come hear about:

  • How to fund your travels by teaching online
  • The differences between visiting a rural area vs. bustling city in Japan
  • The must try cultural activities in Japan

Mia Townsend is a traveling teacher, mental health advocate and progressing towards becoming a travel coach! She works as an ESL instructor both virtually and in person across the globe. Having spent the majority of her twenties on the road, Mia is often asked what keeps her traveling and her response is always the same; she travels for community.

Let’s dive in to find out about how teaching English in Japan and traveling has helped Mia find her community and how it can help you too!
