Paris holds a certain charm but, as a giant metropolis, it can be hard to navigate for first-time visitors. And, even if you’re an experienced explorer, with so many neighborhoods to discover, it will take a lifetime to learn the little nooks and crannies the locals know.

To help you get beyond tourist Paris, the typical tourist traps like the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre, this talk is going to show you Paris from a local’s perspective to see Paris in a whole new way.

Jupiter first moved to Paris at 16 and stayed until his mid twenties, only to return to the City of Lights in 2017 to set up a home base. In this talk, is going to teach you how to see Paris the way residents do. He’ll be sharing:

  • Off-the-beaten-path things to do
  • Where you'll want to eat
  • Little known sights worth seeing
  • Which neighborhoods are great to explore by foot
  • Worthwhile spots for photos (tips from a photographer)
  • How to save money while visiting

Jupiter Kayonga was born in Rwanda and has lived in Paris on and off for the past 20 years. His passion for exploring had him working as a flight attendant for almost a decade and now he runs Jupiter Konnections which focuses on storytelling, content creation, photography, travel blogging, and social media management. Aside from Rwanda and France, Jupiter has lived in India, Ghana, and Ethiopia, and has gotten to experience 77 countries on all 7 continents — so far.
