Do you know how to travel with intention? For many of us, it's difficult to do.
Luckily, traveling is a form of education, and it can be one of the best educations that you can receive. Every travel excursion could add a layer of understanding to your knowledge of people, food, culture, and history. It's how you can learn the untold and nuanced histories not often featured in schools. Especially the histories of groups not often featured - like the history of Black people.
And going beyond learning about the history, there's a want to support Black businesses. The "Buy Black" movement is more prevalent than ever. However, sometimes it's not that easy to navigate.
Franny is on a mission to educate and inspire others to travel intentionally and in a way that enhances the voyager.
In this talk, Franny will share:
- How traveling with a Black frame of mind has enhanced her trips
- Strategies for how to intentionally plan trips & travels in a way that supports minority-owned businesses
- How to seek out experiences that feature the history of Black people in the area
- Her favorite Black-owned travel businesses worth using
This will be a very educational event, so come ready to take notes.
