Travelers often experience their first motorbike trip in a beautiful country like Vietnam, Italy, Thailand, or Indonesia, typically because these countries are much more comfortable and familiar with this means of transportation.

There’s nothing more liberating than being in the elements on a motorbike or motorcycle. The wind in your hair, the sun on your skin, the morning dew on your clothes - it’s ethereal.

Our speaker Maria, avid traveler and “scooter gang” enthusiast, is excited to share with you her top reasons why everyone (especially women) should ditch their cars and embrace life on two wheels!

In this talk, you will learn:

  • The differences between motorcycles and motorbikes
  • Best destinations on two wheels, and where you need to check out first
  • What to wear and how to ride safely
  • What licenses you need to start riding in the United States and beyond
  • Resources and cool biker groups to join

Maria Mallory is the Communications & Marketing Manager for The Nomadic Network. Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, she rides her motorbike for as many months out of the year as the weather allows, especially enjoying the drives during the fall. She learned how much she loves two wheels when living in Asia, before realizing her commute in the United States felt incomplete without a bike. She aims to empower other women to go beyond the traditional and expected, and become a babe on a bike.
