The world has been watching on as the war in Ukraine continues to displace and harm everyday Ukrainian civilians, but what can we do to support Ukrainians during this turbulent time? What does the travel and tourism industry have to do with it at all?

Join Wanderful for a panel discussion with Ukrainian leaders who will share how everyday travelers and the travel industry at large can support Ukraine. Listen to firsthand accounts of the conflict from those on the ground and learn about actionable steps you can take right now to support Ukraine.

Panelists:

Iuliia Mendel is a Ukrainian journalist and political advisor. She was the press secretary in the administration of Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy from June 3, 2019 until July 9, 2021. Ms. Mendel possesses more than ten years of journalism experience on TV and in print media which includes work for the New York Times, Politico Europe, the Atlantic Council, VICE, World Affairs Journal, Spiegel Online, CNBC. She contributed to internationally relevant stories such as the 70th UN General Assembly, U.S. Electoral Conventions, the French Republican Primaries. Her work for the New York Times contributed to breaking important international headline stories.

Alina Kurska is currently the Ukranian Youth Delegate to the United Nations.

Valeria Fadeeva is a member of the Board of Directors for "I Am Not Alone" Charitable Foundation and founder of DIVERGENT Creative Agency.

Justine Abigail Yu is a communications and marketing strategist who has worked with organizations operating in North America, Central America, East Africa, and Southeast Asia. Her expertise lies in growing enterprises from the ground up through strategic digital marketing, compelling storytelling, and genuine community engagement through a lens of anti-oppression.
