Description

There are a lot of ways to create a life of travel and adventure.

Have you ever wanted to retire for half the year? Live in a world class ski town? Hike in the mountains of Alaska? The answer to being able to do so: working seasonally. Seasonal job opportunities are endless!

Just like travel, seasonal work is what you make it. Having a clear idea of your work and travel goals are key. It will guide what jobs you apply for, where you work, how much you are paid, where you can travel and how long you can travel.

Seasonal work gives you adventure, flexibility and community. If you want to create a fun and unique life that you are excited about, you will love this presentation.

Join our speaker, Candice, to learn:

  • How she became a tour guide and travels
  • What seasonal work entails
  • Where to begin your search for seasonal work & get jobs!
  • How to make sure that it will be a good fit for you
  • Ways to save money while working & stretching that during the off seasons

Candice Kalb has been working seasonally for over 15 years and has a nomad since the age of 8 years old! At the age of 11, she sent herself to New Zealand for a foreign exchange program. Over the course of her life, some of her job titles included Barista, Wilderness Guide, Tour Guide, Yoga Instructor, Public Speaker/Performer, Olympic Weightlifting Coach, and Personal Trainer. Since 2015, she has been spending her summers in Alaska as a Tour Guide and traveling for the winters.

Over the years she has traveled as a group, as a couple, and solo. She has circled the globe twice, been to nearly every state in the US, renovated an ’88 camper van and made some incredible memories along the way. Her goal is to build a creative life that allows for as much travel as possible, while constantly pursuing whatever brings her joy.
