      Forum Description

Travel souvenirs in background including shells, postcards, and a camera. Text says, "Travel Souvenir Show & Tell with Martie McNabb" and the white Nomadic Network logo

Do you have an outfit that you bought outside a temple in Thailand? A painting you bought off the streets of Ghana? A soup bowl you got in Turkey’s Grand Bizarre? Do you save postcards, room keys, plane tickets, jewels, or other souvenirs from your travels? How about rocks, shells, or sea glass from beaches near and far?

We’re surrounded by things from our travels that bring us joy. But all too often, only the people living in our houses get to see and share in that joy. We keep these memories to ourselves when we know that sharing them not only lights us up but passes the spark onto others.

That’s why we invited you to bring those things to an adult “show & tell” and share your stories. Join us to hear about the photos and objects from others' adventures, and connect more deeply with your fellow travelers.

If you remember show and tell from elementary school days that’s what this story-sharing gathering is all about. It’s highly interactive.

It may be true that the best things in life aren’t things… yet things have a way of holding onto the memories of some of the best things in life. And if you’re part of this network, travel is one of the best things in life!

Walk away from this session feeling more connected to your travels and your new travel friends.

      About Our Speaker

Martie McNabb ( @martie-mcnabb ) sold her apartment in Brooklyn five years ago and hit the road in her 21-foot campervan (named Brooklyn) to host story-sharing gatherings for people all over the country to share the stories of the Things that Matter. For 25+ years she has worked as a personal historian and legacy artist. She creates visual narratives from her clients' photo, document, and memorabilia archives. She’s also an interactive story-sharing artist who helps people create connections by holding space for them to share the stories of the things they keep. And if you’re an artist, creative, or service professional looking for a unique way to market yourself that not only feels good but does good? Reach out to find out more about her community of story-share holders.
