      Forum Description

man in fuzzy hat in ireland smiling for camera

      Hey everyone,

Ever sit and watch travel talks by people that have seen more in the first 20 years of their life than you could ever imagine seeing in an entire lifetime and say to yourself, "Yeah...sure...but I never learned how to travel and it kind of scares the sh*t out of me!"

As a blue-collar kid from Ohio, Jason didn't even realize that moving away from his home state was an option until he was 23!

By his late 30s he had only been to two countries outside of the U.S... and one of those was Canada (no offense Canada)!

He finally realized that nobody was coming to hold his hand and teach him how to travel, or even travel with him. So unless he wanted to end up a cranky old man with twisted, second-hand perceptions of the world, Jason figured he better start learning to travel... solo!

As a career overthinker with a black belt in analysis paralysis, Jason simply started viewing his travel adventures as just a series of experiments. Along the way, he's come up with some tips and tricks that help him...and hopefully you...continue to face the fear of travel or the unknown, or just life and "adulting" and in general!

In this session, Jason will cover:

      • Tips for getting over the mental hurdles that come with learning to travel, especially solo, if you’ve never travele
      • Super-charging your “bucket list” and how to decide where to go when you’re happy to just go anywhere
      • Using an “experiment” mindset to get over analysis paralysis or to reduce the gravity of big life decisions
      • Going from location-dependent homeowner to a minimalist, location-independent nomad

Above all, Jason is just hopeful that any part of his story can help others get moving towards those dreams, whether those are travel or not!
