Tuk-Tuk Vacations: What Are They & Why You Should Do Them

      Forum Description

For many nomads, travel and adventure are wrapped up into one. You simply can't travel without creating memories involving unexplored places, thrills, and excitement. But not everyone knows how to find great adventures on the road. Julian is the guy you want to know if you're looking for unique adventures while travel planning. He has always harbored a great fascination for discovery, and discovered his own true passion for adventure travel while working in the Middle East in the events industry. This led to Julian co-founding his own adventure travel company, Large Minority, in 2009 and running it ever since. Julian's here to teach us what adventure travel is, and why you need to start planning your trips around once-in-a-lifetime opportunities that help curate and strengthen community. This presentation will cover:
      • Benefits of pushing your boundaries
      • Why incorporating community makes traveling even better
      • How Julian dreamed up such a unique tour company
      • What kinds of adventures you can expect if you participate
      • Great places for international adventures
      • Surprising stories from the road
WATCH THE TALK ABOUT THE SPEAKER Julian Carnall was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya and began traveling at a very young age. In 2009, he founded Large Minority which provides adventure experiences across Asia, South America, and most recently Europe! Most of these adventures use humble tuk-tuks, or auto-rickshaws, as a platform for adventure and are designed to get travelers off the beaten path, pushing their comfort zones, and knee-deep in thrilling experiences. In his spare time, you can find Julian climbing mountains, riding motorbikes and, when possible, heading out into the bush. Connect with Julian:
